The MIAA men’s soccer champion shall be determined by a point system in which teams earn three (3) points for a win and one (1) point for a tie in conference play. The team with the most points at the end of the season will be declared the champion. The league’s automatic qualification to the NCAA Tournament shall be determined by a four-team, end-of-season, AQ tournament.

Players of the Week
Offensive Player of the Week
Olivet midfielder Jon Puente, a sophomore from
Kalamazoo (Galesburg-Augusta HS), scored two goals, including the
game-winner on a header in the second half, as the Comets rallied
to defeat Hope, 2-1, to advance to the championship game of the
MIAA tournament for the second consecutive year. Puente is being
honored as Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
Defensive Player of the Week
Calvin defender Reed Bowden, a sophomore from
Uxbridge, Mass. (Whitinsville Christian HS), anchored a strong
defensive effort from his centerback position as he led the Knights
to back-to-back shutouts in the MIAA tournament. Calvin limited its
opposition to 12 shots for the tournament in wins over Kalamazoo,
1-0, and Olivet, 3-0. Bowden is being honored as Player of the Week
for the first time in his career.
