Olivet's Weaver Earns NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship

Olivet's Jalen Weaver, a former member of the Comets' men's track and field team, has been awarded an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.

Weaver becomes just the fourth student-athlete in Olivet College history to receive the scholarship and the first since 1999.

Weaver, a 2015 Olivet College alumnus, graduated magna cum laude with a 3.8119 grade point average in exercise science. He was one of 29 recipients for the 2016-17 men's winter sports season to receive a postgraduate scholarship. The recipient of a one-time, non-renewable scholarship of $7,500, Weaver is currently enrolled at Wayne State University to pursue a doctorate degree in physical therapy.

Weaver is the fourth MIAA student-athlete to earn an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship during the 2016-17 academic year.
