FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) is proud to announce its 2025 Women’s Soccer All-MIAA honorees, voted on by the head coaches from the MIAA's nine member institutions, recognizing outstanding performances and leadership both on and off the field throughout the season.
Most Valuable Player – Mia Judd, Calvin University
Calvin University senior Mia Judd has been named the 2025 MIAA Most Valuable Player following a stellar season anchoring the Knights’ midfield. Judd, a holding midfielder, was instrumental in guiding Calvin to an 8-0 record in conference play and a 12-4 overall mark, earning the Knights the No. 1 seed heading into the MIAA Tournament.
During league competition, Judd tallied four goals, eight points, and placed 10 shots on goal with an impressive .833 shots on goal percentage. Her 587 minutes played in league matches underscore her consistency and endurance in the heart of Calvin’s formation.
Judd become a two-time MIAA Most Valuable Player and a three-time all-conference honoree this season.
Senior Sportswoman of the Year – Olivia Dieppa, Hope College
Olivia Dieppa of Hope College has been selected as the MIAA Senior Sportswoman of the Year, honoring her remarkable combination of athletic excellence, academic achievement, and community service.
A team captain and four-year starter, Dieppa has consistently exemplified what it means to be a true student-athlete. Despite overcoming a major knee surgery early in her career, she became a two-time all-conference selection, Academic All-District honoree, and Defensive Player of the Week recipient. Remarkably, the standout defender also led Hope in goals scored, showcasing her versatility and leadership on both ends of the pitch.
Off the field, Dieppa maintains a 3.96 GPA as an Exercise Science major and earned early acceptance into Grand Valley State’s Occupational Therapy program. Her commitment to service includes volunteering with Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital, going on a mission trip to Kenya to provide water filters, and serving as the student-athlete mental health representative within Hope’s athletic department.
In addition to her research and teaching assistant roles, Dieppa has been a three-time Academic Honor Roll honoree and a leader in the Kinesiology Club and student panels. Her humility, discipline, and team-first approach make her a model representative of the MIAA’s values.
Newcomer of the Year – Ava Leihgeber, Trine University
Freshman Ava Leihgeber of Trine University has been named the 2025 MIAA Newcomer of the Year after an outstanding debut campaign that showcased her versatility, creativity, and impact on both ends of the field.
Originally slotted at left back, Leihgeber quickly established herself as one of Trine’s most dynamic players. Her ability to read the game, break lines with precise passing, and contribute defensively made her a mainstay in the lineup. She scored her first collegiate goal from the back line against Illinois Wesleyan and played a critical role in Trine’s 1-1 tie against No. 1-ranked Washington University.
As the season progressed, Leihgeber’s coaches moved her higher up the field into an attacking midfield role -- a shift that immediately elevated Trine’s offensive capabilities. Her impact was evident as she became a central creative force for the Thunder, helping the team to a 5-2-1 MIAA record and a 9-4-4 overall finish.
