LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) was well represented as the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its 44th annual All-America teams for NCAA Division III women’s volleyball. The 2025 class features 42 players—14 each on the first, second, and third teams—from 27 institutions across the country. The AVCA will announce its National Coach of the Year and Assistant Coach of the Year on Monday, December 1.
Hope College senior setter Lauren Lee earned a place on the All-America First Team, adding to a remarkable career defined by excellence and consistency. Lee becomes the only four-time All-American on this year’s list and is now a three-time First Team honoree, underscoring her status as one of the nation’s elite setters. The 2025 AVCA Region 7 Player of the Year and 2025 MIAA Most Valuable Player, Lee previously collected both MIAA and AVCA Freshman of the Year honors in 2022 and has been named to the First Team All-MIAA and AVCA All-Region First Team in all four seasons of her career. This fall, she helped guide the Flying Dutch to an undefeated 8-0 conference record, the MIAA regular-season title, and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament regional semifinals.
Joining her among the All-America honorees is Hope junior middle hitter Kamryn Burbridge, who earned Third Team All-America recognition. A three-time All-MIAA performer and a First Team selection on the 2025 AVCA All-Region 7 squad, Burbridge played a pivotal role in Hope’s conference championship and NCAA Tournament run, anchoring both sides of the net for the Flying Dutch.
Four additional MIAA players were recognized as AVCA Honorable Mention All-Americans: Calvin University senior outside hitter Aerin Baker, Calvin senior middle blocker Emma Ekblaw, Albion College junior return specialist Carly Frank, and Hope sophomore middle blocker Olivia Wyma. Each contributed significantly to their programs and helped elevate the conference on the national stage.
With multiple All-America honorees and standout performances across the league, the MIAA once again demonstrated its depth and strength in Division III volleyball, continuing a tradition of excellence within America’s First Conference.
