The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) is proud to announce that five of its top men's basketball players have been named to the D3hoops.com All-Region 7 Team for their exceptional performances during the 2024-25 season.
Player of the Year and First Team Selection: Uchenna Egekeze, Calvin University
Senior forward Uchenna Egekeze of Calvin University has been named the D3hoops.com All-Region 7 Player of the Year and a First Team selection following a dominant season. Egekeze, the 2025 MIAA Most Valuable Player and three-time Defensive Player of the Year, earned his fourth-consecutive All-MIAA honors while leading the Knights to an undefeated 14-0 conference record and an overall mark of 21-7.
Egekeze played a pivotal role in Calvin's success, leading them to their first MIAA Men's Basketball Tournament title since 2017. He ranked among the top three in the league in multiple categories, including:
Second Team Selection: Drew Moore, Trine University
Senior guard Drew Moore of Trine University earned a Second Team selection after an outstanding season. A 2025 First Team All-MIAA honoree, Moore led the Thunder to an 11-3 conference record and a 21-5 overall finish.
