MIAA Commissioner's Cup Remains at Hope for the Fifth-Straight Year

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- Hope College has earned the 2024–25 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Commissioner's Cup, marking the program’s 41st overall title. Hope secured the award with seven outright regular-season championships and one co-championship, finishing with 145.5 points.

The Flying Dutchmen also claimed the Men’s All-Sport Championship with 73.5 points, earning regular-season titles in football, men’s lacrosse, and men’s golf, and sharing the men’s soccer title. Hope finished in the top three in ten of the eleven men’s sports it sponsors.

On the women’s side, Calvin University narrowly won the Women’s All-Sport Championship with 72.5 points, just half a point ahead. The women captured regular-season titles in cross country, soccer, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field, and placed in the top three in nine of their eleven sponsored sports.

Calvin finished second in the overall Commissioner’s Cup standings with 144.5 points. Trine University placed third with 138.0 points, recording four outright titles and one co-championship during the academic year.

The MIAA Commissioner's Cup is awarded based on the cumulative performance of member schools in eighteen men’s and women’s league-sponsored sports.
