Six MIAA Men's Lacrosse Players Earn IMLCA All-Region 5 Recognition

Six student-athletes from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) were recognized for their standout performances with selections to the 2025 Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) All-Region 5 Teams.

Adrian College senior attackman Michael Jonas was named to the All-Region 5 Second Team following an exceptional season. The 2025 MIAA Offensive Player of the Year and three-time All-MIAA honoree, Jonas also earned USILA All-America Honorable Mention recognition. He tallied 67 goals and 45 assists for a total of 112 points, finishing the season with a .752 shots on goal percentage and collecting 27 ground balls.

Also representing Adrian, senior defenseman Cameron Reed earned First Team honors. The 2025 MIAA Defensive Player of the Year and four-time All-MIAA selection, Reed recorded 78 ground balls and 55 caused turnovers while also contributing offensively with 12 goals and five assists. He was additionally recognized as a USILA All-America Honorable Mention.

Hope College senior Owen Mueller was named to the Second Team as a short-stick defensive midfielder. A two-time All-MIAA honoree, Mueller registered 32 ground balls and 20 caused turnovers, and was also named a USILA All-America Honorable Mention.

Albion College junior midfielder Cal Stearns received All-Region Honorable Mention. A three-time All-MIAA honoree, Stearns finished the year with 52 goals and 12 assists for 64 total points. He added 19 ground balls and caused 10 turnovers while maintaining a .553 shots on goal percentage.

Calvin University senior midfielder Thomas Smith also earned Honorable Mention recognition. A three-time All-MIAA selection, Smith recorded 36 goals and 14 assists for 50 points while contributing 16 ground balls and a .556 shots on goal percentage.

Hope College junior defenseman John Foster was named Honorable Mention as well. A two-time All-MIAA honoree, Foster collected 45 ground balls and caused 30 turnovers to help lead the Flying Dutchmen’s defensive unit.

The MIAA congratulates these six student-athletes on their regional recognition and celebrates their outstanding efforts throughout the 2025 men’s lacrosse season.
