BRIGHTON, Mich. -- The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) is bringing fans closer to the action with the launch of The MIAA Pulse, a new weekly football television program produced by Calvin Video Productions throughout the 2026 MIAA football season.
The 30-minute program will debut Thursday, September 24, at 7:30 p.m. and will provide fans with an in-depth look at MIAA football each week through highlights, expert analysis, exclusive interviews and stories from across the conference.
The MIAA Pulse will be available on WXSP-TV, WOOD-TV+, and each MIAA member institution's video platform, giving fans multiple ways to follow the conference's football season. The program is presented by Van Wyk Risk Solutions along with Culver’s and People Driven Technology.
The show is designed to complement the live coverage available through the MIAA's digital platforms while providing a broader, league-wide look at the people, teams and stories shaping football in America's First Conference.
"One of our priorities as a conference is finding new and creative ways to tell the stories of our student-athletes, coaches and institutions," said MIAA Interim Commissioner Lauren Bryne-Dunn. "The MIAA Pulse gives us an exciting opportunity to bring those stories directly into the homes of our fans while showcasing the incredible football experience across our entire conference. We are grateful to Calvin Video Productions and our sponsors for helping us bring this vision to life, and we hope this is just the beginning of what we can build together."
The program will feature weekly highlights from around the MIAA, along with expert insights and interviews that go beyond the scoreboard. With the 2026 football season featuring a full slate of conference matchups beginning September 26, The MIAA Pulse will provide fans with a consistent weekly destination to catch up on the latest developments around the league.
“MIAA football continues to grow in prominence, earning increased attention from fans throughout the region and beyond,” said Lucas Moore, Associate CIO for Technology and Infrastructure at Calvin University and executive producer of The MIAA Pulse. “This program represents a significant step forward in how we showcase the student-athletes, coaches and programs that make our conference exceptional. Calvin Video Productions is thrilled to partner with the MIAA and its member institutions to deliver compelling stories each week while helping strengthen and elevate the conference's presence across new audiences.”
The launch represents the first step in what the MIAA hopes will become an expanding television and digital content initiative. Future editions of The MIAA Pulse could grow to include additional sports, expanded storytelling and new opportunities to highlight the academic, athletic and community achievements of MIAA student-athletes.
"We're excited to continue exploring new ways to expand the reach of MIAA athletics and connect our member institutions with fans beyond the traditional game-day experience," Bryne-Dunn said. "Our goal is to continue building The MIAA Pulse into something that becomes a signature part of the storytelling and media presence across America's First Conference."
The inaugural episode of The MIAA Pulse will air Thursday, September 24, at 7:30 p.m. on WXSP-TV and WOOD-TV+, with the program also available through each MIAA member institution's video platform.
The MIAA football season opens September 26, with Hope College hosting Albion College, Alma College hosting Adrian College, Calvin University hosting The University of Olivet and Kalamazoo College hosting Trine University.
