MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The University of Olivet sophomore linebacker Javon Peterson has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week.

Peterson totaled six solo tackles in the Comets' 39-19 season-opening win over Millikin (Ill.) University on September 3 at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. Among the six stops, three were for minus five yards, with two quarterback sacks. One of the sacks was on a Big Blue fourth down in the fourth quarter. The Comets used the momentum from the stop to drive down the field and score their final touchdown.

Olivet hosts North Park (Ill.) University on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
