Jason Horn, a veteran athletics administrator and native Michigander, has been named the next commissioner for the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA).
Horn will begin his new role on October 1, 2024, succeeding Chris Brown.
Horn brings nearly 30 years of experience in athletics and athletics marketing, including conference office experience, to the MIAA. He currently serves as the assistant vice president and director of athletics at Florida Memorial University. He joined FMU as director of athletics in 2021 and was promoted to assistant vice president in 2023. He recently served as the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics-Athletics Directors Association (NAIA-ADA) president from 2023-24.

Prior to FMU, Horn served as the assistant vice president of student affairs and director of athletics and recreation at Xavier University of Louisiana from 2014-21. Among his accolades, he was named NAIA National Athletic Director of the Year in 2020 and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) National Athletics Director of the Year in 2021. He also was named Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Athletic Director of the Year three times (2017, 2019, 2020).
Horn has worked with prominent organizations including the Detroit Pistons, the NBA Development League (now G-League), the University of Detroit Mercy, the University of Central Florida, the University of Miami, Conference USA, and both the Olympic Winter and Summer Games. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Organizational Communications.
