Lauren Bryne-Dunn began serving as Assistant Commissioner of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) on August 1, 2020. She was promoted to MIAA Associate Commissioner/Senior Woman Administrator in July 2024.

Bryne-Dunn has been a member of the Division III Assistant Commissioners Group (D3ACG) since August 2020 and was recently elected Second Vice Chair. She will serve on the Executive Board, beginning in the 2025-26 academic year. In spring 2024, she began serving as the MIAA’s Regional Advisory Committee representative for Division III Men’s Tennis. That summer, she also joined the CSC Professional Development and Continuing Education Committee, the CSC Mentorship Committee, and the D3ACG Professional Development Committee. Bryne-Dunn was also named to the College Sports Communicators’ (CSC) 30 Under 30 Class of 2024, and was later selected to serve on the CSC 30 Under 30 Selection Committee for the Class of 2025.

In the fall of 2023, Bryne-Dunn was selected by the NCAA to attend the 2023 Division III Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) Program in conjunction with the Women Leaders in Sports Convention. She also became an NCAA Division III Inclusive Leadership Workshop Facilitator after being selected to attend the training in June 2024 and facilitated her first program in June 2025. In addition, she was selected to participate in the 2025 Fall Summit and NCAA Impact Forum, along with the 2025-26 CSC Inclusion Fellowship program.

A former member of the D3ACG SAAC standing committee, Bryne-Dunn assisted in launching the #d3Donates campaign in November 2020. Additionally, she was on the Women Leaders in Sports Education and Professional Development Committee in 2021.

From 2018 to 2020, Bryne-Dunn served as a Sports Information Graduate Intern at Wayne State University. During her internship, she had the opportunity to serve as the representing SID for the 2019 GLIAC Swimming and Diving Championships and the 2019 NCAA Midwest Regional Tennis Tournament. At WSU, Bryne-Dunn was the primary contact for tennis, cross country, and swimming and diving.

Bryne-Dunn worked for both the Detroit Tigers Foundation's Event Staff and the Detroit Lions' Gameday Marketing Promotional Team throughout the 2019 campaigns. She also served as a volunteer for the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 2019.

In April 2020, Bryne-Dunn graduated from Wayne State University with a Master's Degree in Sports Administration. Prior to that, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan in 2018. Bryne-Dunn was previously a member of the U of M LSA Southeast Michigan Young Alumni Council and served as a mentor in the 2021 LSA Mentorship Program at U of M.

Bryne-Dunn currently resides in Brighton, Michigan, with her husband Dylan and her golden retriever Winnie.
