Sixteen MIAA Athletes and Eight Teams Recognized with 2024 USTFCCCA Women's Cross Country Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) demonstrated its commitment to both athletic and academic excellence as sixteen student-athletes and eight teams were honored with 2024 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Women's Cross Country Academic Honors.

Individual Honorees

Student-athletes from four MIAA institutions earned individual recognition for their outstanding academic achievements while excelling in cross country. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.

  • Calvin University - Ellia Agar, Jenna Allman, Alexis Ball, Sophie Bull, Natalie Tebben

  • Hope College - Molly Durow, Maddy Struck

  • Kalamazoo College - Paige Anderson, Ava King, Nora O'Leary

  • Trine University - Chloe Goodrich, Hannah Parker, Bailey Puckett, Courtney Study, Sidney Swick, Eleanor Young

Team Academic Honors

MIAA programs also showcased their dedication to academic excellence as eight teams were recognized for their exceptional collective GPAs. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.

  • Adrian College - 3.40 GPA

  • Alma College - 3.61 GPA

  • Calvin University - 3.862 GPA

  • Hope College - 3.71 GPA

  • Kalamazoo College - 3.52 GPA

  • The University of Olivet - 3.67 GPA

  • Saint Mary's College - 3.65 GPA

  • Trine University - 3.642 GPA

These accolades underscore the balance of academic and athletic dedication among MIAA student-athletes, reinforcing the conference’s mission to cultivate success both on the course and in the classroom.
