Elite Trio: MIAA Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Student-Athletes Earn CSC Academic All-America® Honors

AUSTIN, Tex. -- Three standout student-athletes from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) have been recognized for their excellence in both the classroom and competition with selection to the 2024-25 Academic All-America® Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country Teams, as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).

Calvin University junior Sophie Bull landed a spot on the First Team, marking her second-consecutive Academic All-America® honor after being named to the Second Team in 2023-24. Bull, a Kinesiology major with a 3.97 grade-point average, has been a force on the track for the Knights while maintaining one of the highest academic marks in the MIAA.

Joining her from Calvin is senior Jenna Allman, who earned Third Team recognition for the third-straight year. A double major in Sociology and Psychology, Allman has maintained a 3.91 GPA while excelling across cross country and track events. Her consistent performance on both the national and academic stage underscores a remarkable collegiate career.

Also named to the Third Team is Sara Schermerhorn, a junior from Hope College. An Exercise Science major with a 3.89 grade-point average, Schermerhorn is honored for the first time as an Academic All-American® after a strong year leading the Flying Dutch with record-breaking performances.

These three honorees represent the very best of NCAA Division III athletics and the MIAA’s commitment to the integration of academic and athletic achievement.
