Hope Volleyball Claims Perfect 8-0 Record to Capture MIAA Regular-Season Title

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- Hope College has claimed the 2025 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) volleyball regular-season championship after completing conference play with a perfect 8-0 record. The Flying Dutch, now 21-5 overall, head into the MIAA postseason as the top seed and the host for the semifinal and championship rounds.

The Flying Dutch have been dominant throughout conference action, leading the MIAA in nearly every major statistical category. Hope averages a conference-best 18.85 points per set and holds the top hitting percentage at .260. The team also leads the league with 365 assists, 394 kills, and 2.22 service aces per set.

Individually, several Hope players sit atop the MIAA leaderboards. Kamryn Burbridge (.455) and Olivia Wyma (.423) lead the conference in hitting percentage, while Lauren Lee paces all setters with 305 assists, averaging 11.30 per set. Amelia Gagnon has also made her mark, leading the MIAA with 0.64 service aces per set.

The MIAA Volleyball Tournament bracket will be released following the conclusion of regular-season play on Saturday. Tournament action begins with first-round matches on November 11, followed by the semifinals on November 14 and the championship match on November 15, both hosted by Hope College.

The tournament champion will earn the league’s automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament, set to begin on November 20.
