National Honors Roll In for MIAA Football’s Top Performers

Three Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) football standouts earned national recognition as members of the 2025 Associated Press (AP) Division III All-America Football Teams, highlighting the league’s impact on the national stage.

Alma College senior running back Eddie Williams was named to the Second Team after a historic season for the Scots. The 2025 MIAA Most Valuable Offensive Player and a four-time All-MIAA selection, Williams powered Alma to the league’s regular-season championship with a perfect 7-0 conference record and an 8-3 mark overall, earning the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Championships. His postseason accolades also included First Team All-America honors from the AFCA and First Team All-Region 4 recognition from D3football.com.

Joining Williams on the Second Team was Adrian College junior defensive back Ethan Burrows. A 2025 First Team All-MIAA honoree, Burrows played a key role in guiding the Bulldogs to a 5-2 record in conference play and an 8-2 overall finish. His standout performances earned him additional national recognition as a 2025 AFCA First Team All-American and a D3football.com First Team All-Region 4 selection.

Hope College senior defensive lineman Liam Danitz earned Third Team honors after anchoring one of the league’s top defenses. The 2025 MIAA Defensive Player of the Year and a First Team All-MIAA selection, Danitz helped the Flying Dutchmen post a 6-1 conference record and a 9-2 overall mark, securing an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships. Like his MIAA counterparts, Danitz also collected First Team All-America accolades from the AFCA and First Team All-Region 4 honors from D3football.com.
