Trine’s Sidney Wagner Headlines MIAA Women's Basketball Awards; All-MIAA Announced

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- Following the conclusion of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) women's basketball regular season, the conference’s nine head coaches voted on All-MIAA honors.

Trine University senior Sidney Wagner earned both the 2025 MIAA Most Valuable Player and 2025 MIAA Defensive Player of the Year titles after leading the Thunder to an undefeated league record. Wagner is now a two-time Most Valuable Player and a three-time All-MIAA selection.

In conference play, Wagner led Trine with 492 minutes (30.8 per game), 106 field goals made, 266 points (16.6 per game), 103 defensive rebounds, 112 total rebounds (7.0 per game), 63 assists, and 44 steals. She also recorded 21 three-pointers and 33 free throws, finishing with a .733 free-throw percentage and a .505 field-goal percentage.

Three players are now two-time All-MIAA honorees: Alma College's Brooke LeRoux, and Hope College's Olivia Bellows and Jada Garner.
