ATLANTA, Ga. -- Five Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) programs were recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) for their outstanding academic achievements during the 2025-26 season.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes college women's basketball teams across the nation in their respective divisions that carry the highest combined grade-point averages (GPAs) inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. Teams must post a combined GPA of 3.0 or higher and be nominated by a head coach who is a WBCA member to receive recognition. The 2025-26 academic year marks the 31st season the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.

Albion College led the way for the MIAA, ranking eighth nationally among NCAA Division III institutions with an impressive team GPA of 3.815.

Hope College and Trine University also secured spots in the national top 25, tying-for-24th with matching team GPAs of 3.738.

In addition to the nationally ranked teams, Calvin University and Kalamazoo College received Special Mention recognition after recording team GPAs above the 3.0 threshold. Calvin posted a 3.578 GPA, while Kalamazoo finished with a 3.422 GPA.
