MIAA Wrestlers Earn NWCA Scholar All-America Honors

 MANHEIM, Pa. -- The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) continues to demonstrate excellence both on and off the mat, as multiple teams and individuals earned Scholar All-America recognition from the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA). The announcement, made on March 21, highlights the outstanding academic and athletic achievements of student-athletes across the conference.

Albion College led the MIAA wrestling programs in team academic performance, ranking sixth in the nation with an impressive 3.728 team grade-point average. The University of Olivet also secured a top-25 finish, placing 23rd with a commendable 3.54 GPA.

In addition to team honors, 22 MIAA wrestlers were named Scholar All-Americans for their academic and athletic prowess. To qualify for this prestigious recognition, individuals had to meet rigorous academic and wrestling criteria, including maintaining a GPA of at least 3.2 and either placing in the top eight at their regional tournament or achieving a win percentage above 66% with a minimum of 15 matches wrestled.
