The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) proudly celebrates its women’s swimming and diving student-athletes and teams who earned national academic recognition from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the 2024-25 season.
Individual Scholar All-America Honors
Earning a place on the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team is one of the most prestigious academic honors in collegiate swimming and diving. More than 2,700 student-athletes nationwide, including fifteen from the MIAA, were recognized for combining strong academic achievement with high-level athletic performance this year.
To be named a First-Team Scholar All-American, student-athletes must maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participate in their national championship. Second-Team selections must also hold at least a 3.5 GPA and either achieve a national “B” time standard or qualify for a diving zone meet.
First Team Scholar All-Americans:
Calvin University – Elise Bajwa, Meghan Bengelink, Maggie Farrell, Emma Merkel, Zoe Poe, Sydney Sonday
Hope College – Emme D'Errico, Greta Gidley, Katie Hermann, Sara Kraus, Lauren Ryle, Bella Turner, Laurel Wasiniak
Second Team Scholar All-Americans:
Calvin University – Veronica Skipper
Hope College – Laura Zupancic
Team Scholar All-America Honors
Four MIAA women’s programs also earned CSCAA Team Scholar All-America honors for the Spring 2025 semester, recognizing programs that posted a team GPA of 3.00 or higher. In total, 763 programs from 432 institutions were honored for their academic achievement.
MIAA teams earning this distinction include:
Hope College – 3.58 GPA
Kalamazoo College – 3.57 GPA
Calvin University – 3.55 GPA
Albion College – 3.38 GPA
The MIAA commends these student-athletes and programs for their continued dedication to excellence both in the classroom and in the pool.
