OLIVET, Mich. – Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Ryan Shockey has tabbed Isabel Snyder to be the next head men's and women's tennis coach at The University of Olivet (UOlivet).

"We are excited to have Isabel join the athletic staff," said Shockey. "Bringing one of our own back to lead the tennis teams is always special. Isabel is a proud Olivet alumnus who understands what it means to be a Comet and represent us with integrity and passion. Her energy, knowledge of the game and connection to our campus community makes her the right person to lead our tennis program into its next chapter."

Most recently, Snyder has served as the assistant/junior varsity boys' and girls' tennis coach at Marshall High School since 2020. At the same time, she worked at Albion College in a couple different roles, including most recently as the administrative assistant in the Office of Integrated Wellness. Prior to that, Snyder worked as a specialty lines underwriter for Tokio Marine HCC, and a strategic support associate for Jackson National.

"I am so excited to be returning to The University of Olivet as the head men's and women's tennis coach," said Snyder. "Being a member of the tennis team was an integral part of my amazing experience as a student at Olivet, and I look forward to working with the team again, in this new role. I'd like to thank Ryan Shockey, Jenessa Neal, and all of the members of the search committee for their dedication to excellence at Olivet and for granting me the opportunity to be a part of the athletic staff."

In 2017, Snyder graduated from Olivet with a bachelor's degree in actuarial science. While at Olivet, she played four years of tennis, serving as a team captain during her senior season. Snyder was a member of Gamma Iota Sigma, Hosford's Honor Society of Scholars and Mathletes. She was named to the Dean's List five times.
