MIAA Men's Tennis Student-Athletes, Programs Honored for Success in the Classroom

Three Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) men's tennis programs and 21 student-athletes were recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for their outstanding academic achievements during the 2025-26 academic year.

Across NCAA Division III, 1,151 men's tennis student-athletes earned ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition, while 147 programs received ITA All-Academic Team honors.

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, student-athletes must earn at least a 3.50 grade point average during the current academic year and be listed on their institution's eligibility form.

The MIAA's 21 ITA Scholar-Athletes represented four member institutions. Kalamazoo College led the conference with eight honorees, followed by Trine University with six, Hope College with five, and Calvin University with two.

In addition to the individual recognition, Hope, Kalamazoo, and Trine each earned ITA All-Academic Team honors. To qualify, programs must achieve a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or higher, have all student-athletes listed on the institutional eligibility form, and include all varsity letter winners in the team's cumulative GPA calculation.

The conference's representation among the ITA's academic award recipients highlights the MIAA's continued commitment to excellence in both the classroom and on the court, as its men's tennis student-athletes and programs continue to demonstrate the high standard of achievement that defines Division III athletics.
