MIAA Women Earn USTFCCCA All-Region Honors After Standout Indoor Season

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Twenty-two student-athletes and five relays from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) earned 2026 NCAA Division III Women’s Indoor Track & Field All-Region honors, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on March 11.

All-Region recognition is awarded to the top eight individuals in each event in each region on the year-end Descending Order Lists, along with each member of the region’s top eight relay teams.

The MIAA was well represented across running, jumping, and multi-event competitions, with multiple conference standouts ranking among the region’s best.

Adrian College sophomore Alysia Townsend earned All-Region distinction in three events, receiving recognition in the high jump, long jump, and pentathlon.

Alma College had two All-Region honorees led by senior Helena Snyder who was recognized in both the high jump and pentathlon. Junior Lauren Brawt also received All-Region honors in the pentathlon.

Calvin University produced one of the region’s strongest performances this season with numerous individual and relay honors. Senior Sophie Bull led the way, ranking first in the region in both the 3000m run and the 5000m run. Senior Sydney Radigan topped the region in the 200m dash while also earning All-Region honors in the 60m dash. Additional Calvin All-Region selections included senior Mia DeJonge and sophomore Cadence Drougal in the 60m hurdles, sophomore Ella Easterling in the pentathlon, freshman Dasha Mason in the triple jump, and freshman Caralee Schipper in the high jump.

The Knights also had two relay teams earn All-Region recognition. The Distance Medley Relay of Emma Wierenga, Alison Bailey, Peyton Ludwig, and Sophie Bull finished the season first in the region, while the 4x400m relay of Alison Bailey, Jessica Bossenbroek, Abby Lambers, and Peyton Ludwig also secured All-Region honors.

Hope College also posted a strong showing with several All-Region performances. Senior Sara Schermerhorn ranked first in the region in the 400m dash while also earning recognition in the 60m dash and 200m dash. Classmate Molly Durow was honored in the mile, while junior Mary England received All-Region honors in both the 3000m run and 5000m run. Other Hope honorees included sophomore Sofia Fisher in the 60m dash, sophomore Lydia Rowe in the 60m hurdles, and freshman Jaidyn Klimp in both the high jump and pentathlon.

The Flying Dutch also had two relay teams earn All-Region distinction. The 4x400m relay team of Frances Cozzens, Jaidyn Klimp, Savana Monville, and Sara Schermerhorn finished first in the region, while the Distance Medley Relay of Miranda Sawvel, Sara Schermerhorn, Amanda Markham, and Molly Durow also earned All-Region honors.

Kalamazoo College’s Distance Medley Relay team of Cate Cotter, Zenaida Sackett, Gwyneth Dunaway, and Ava King secured All-Region recognition.

Trine University placed several student-athletes among the region’s best. Senior Bailey Puckett ranked first in the region in the mile while also earning All-Region honors in the 3000m run. Additional Thunder honorees included senior Chloe Goodrich in the 3000m run, classmate Eleanor Young in both the mile and 3000m run, freshman Brooklyn Kerry in the triple jump, freshman Jill Taylor in the long jump, and freshman Hannah Flores Ness in the pentathlon.
