MIAA Athlete of the Week - May 11, 2026

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) has announced its Athletes of the Week for the period covering May 4-10. Each week throughout the academic year, the conference recognizes standout performances from student-athletes across its member institutions.

The MIAA Athlete of the Week honors are selected from nominations submitted by head coaches at each school. These awards spotlight the top individual efforts in competition and showcase the high level of play within the conference.

Selections are released every Monday at 4:00 p.m., with the exception of weeks impacted by federal holidays.


MIAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week - Parker Faris, Adrian College
Sophomore pitcher Parker Faris helped lead the Bulldogs to the 2026 MIAA Baseball Tournament title Presented by Collegiate Credit Union with a complete-game performance in Adrian’s 8–1 championship victory over Kalamazoo. Over nine innings, Faris allowed just one earned run while striking out four batters against 33 batters faced.

MIAA Baseball Position Player of the Week - Rolando Jimenez, Adrian College
Junior infielder Rolando Jimenez helped lead Adrian to the 2026 MIAA Baseball Tournament title Presented by Collegiate Credit Union with key performances throughout the postseason. In a 5–4 win over Albion, Jimenez scored the game-tying run while adding two hits and an RBI. He followed with three hits, four assists, and a putout in Adrian’s 2–1 victory over Kalamazoo. In the Bulldogs’ 8–3 championship win over Alma, Jimenez contributed an RBI and four assists

MIAA Softball Pitcher of the Week - Sydney Adolfson, Trine University
Junior pitcher Sydney Adolfson helped lead the Thunder to the 2026 MIAA Softball Tournament title Presented by Collegiate Credit Union with strong performances throughout the postseason. Adolfson pitched a complete game in Trine’s 21–4 win over Calvin, allowing just two earned runs while striking out two over five innings against 23 batters faced. She also threw 6.1 innings in the Thunder’s 7–5 championship victory over the Knights, recording two strikeouts against 32 batters.

MIAA Softball Position Player of the Week - Debbie Hill, Trine University
Senior Debbie Hill led Trine to the 2026 MIAA Softball Tournament title Presented by Collegiate Credit Union with dominant performances both at the plate and in the circle. In the Thunder’s 21–4 victory over Calvin, Hill blasted three home runs, drove in eight runs, scored three times, collected three hits, and drew a walk. She also pitched four innings in Trine’s second matchup against the Knights, striking out three batters. In the championship-clinching tiebreaker win over Calvin, Hill added another home run, three RBIs, and two hits.
