Lasceski Selected for Prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Internship Program

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Recent Alma College graduate Jake Lasceski will take the next step in his collegiate athletics journey this summer after being selected for the prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Internship Program (PGIP), where he will begin a yearlong internship in Branding at the NCAA national office in Indianapolis in June 2026.

Lasceski’s selection places him among an elite group of recent graduates chosen to participate in one of the NCAA’s premier professional development opportunities. The NCAA Postgraduate Internship Program offers immersive, hands-on experience for aspiring college athletics administrators, providing interns with national-level exposure to the inner workings of collegiate sports governance, branding, and operations.

Through the program, interns receive mentorship, professional development, and opportunities to visit NCAA member institutions, conference offices, and affiliate organizations, preparing them for impactful careers across the collegiate athletics landscape. Over the past 25 years, PGIP alumni have gone on to hold influential positions throughout college sports administration.

“I am excited to take part in the NCAA’s postgraduate intern program because athletics have always been a constant in my life, both as a competitor and a viewer," stated Lasceski. "My time at Alma College and competing in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's (MIAA) has given me many opportunities to explore careers in sports and understand my interests. I am grateful to both organizations for the experiences that helped me learn, grow, and succeed.”

For Lasceski, the opportunity reflects years of exceptional achievement both on and off the tennis court.

A Business Leadership & Management major with a minor in Political Science, Lasceski recently graduated from Alma after building one of the most distinguished student-athlete resumes in school history. This spring, he was honored with the MIAA's Dr. Allen B. Stowe Memorial Award, which recognizes outstanding contributions to team success, leadership, ethical virtues, and sportsmanship.

His collegiate career was marked by sustained excellence across academics, athletics, leadership, and service.

As a team captain for Alma men’s tennis, Lasceski consistently led by example while also maintaining the highest GPA among the program’s senior class. His academic accomplishments included repeated Dean’s List recognition, MIAA Academic Elite honors, and multiple College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selections.

Beyond athletics, Lasceski emerged as one of Alma’s most engaged student leaders. He served as Student Congress President, represented students on Alma’s Board of Trustees, held multiple leadership roles within the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, including Social Media Coordinator and Vice President, and contributed extensively through organizations such as Sigma Chi Theta Nu, Business Professionals of America, and the Interfraternity Council as DEI Chair.

His impact extended globally and nationally through international service in Quito, Ecuador, as part of the Posey Global Fellowship, as well as through volunteer initiatives and representation of Alma at multiple NCAA Conventions.

Lasceski’s selection to the NCAA PGIP reflects his rare combination of academic excellence, competitive success, leadership, service, and professional ambition.

As he begins his work in Branding this June, Lasceski will bring the same dedication and leadership that defined his Alma career to the national stage, continuing to build a promising future in collegiate athletics administration.
