FRISCO, Tex. -- Four Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) women's golf programs were recognized among the nation's top 25 teams for academic achievement by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), highlighted by Adrian College and Trine University earning spots in the top 10.

The WGCA recognized the NCAA Division III women's golf teams with the highest team grade-point averages during the 2025-26 academic year. Four MIAA programs were among the 25 highest-ranking teams nationally, demonstrating the conference's continued commitment to excellence both on the course and in the classroom.

Adrian led the MIAA contingent, ranking eighth nationally with a 3.759 team GPA. Trine followed closely in ninth place with a 3.757 GPA.

Hope College ranked 15th nationally with a 3.714 team GPA, while Albion College rounded out the MIAA's representation at No. 18 with a 3.683 GPA.

The four MIAA programs were among an elite group of Division III women's golf teams recognized for their ability to maintain exceptional academic standards while competing at the collegiate level.

The recognition adds to a strong year of academic achievement across the MIAA. The conference recently recognized a record 2,079 student-athletes on its Academic Honor Roll, while a conference-record 137 athletic teams earned the MIAA Team GPA Award for maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.300.
