GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) was well represented on the national academic stage as six baseball programs earned the 2025-26 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack.
Representing the MIAA on this year's list were Adrian College, Albion College, Alma College, Calvin University, Kalamazoo College, and Trine University.
The ABCA recognized more than 500 high school and collegiate baseball programs across the country with the annual honor, which celebrates teams that achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year.
Following the conclusion of the spring semester, coaches were invited to nominate their programs for the award prior to the July 17 deadline. To be eligible, a program must be a high school or collegiate baseball team, have a head coach who is a current ABCA member, and post a minimum cumulative team GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale during the academic year.
The six recognized MIAA programs exemplify the conference's longstanding commitment to excellence in both academics and athletics, joining hundreds of baseball teams from across the nation in earning one of the sport's premier academic honors.
