NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Ten men’s cross country runners from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) earned All-Region honors from the USTFCCCA after standout performances at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Meet this past weekend. Athletes earned All-Region distinction by virtue of finishing inside the top 35 at one of the ten regional sites, with the additional requirement that their institutions hold USTFCCCA membership.
Hope College led the way with an impressive seven honorees. Sophomore Logan Begeman paced the group with an eighth-place run of 25:12.83, followed closely by sophomore Elias Kretchmar in ninth at 25:15.43. Senior Carston Cole and freshman Aiden Moore added 10th- and 12th-place efforts with times of 25:20.77 and 25:25.70, respectively. Senior Jonathan Harlow finished 14th in 25:26.68, senior Lucas Guidone placed 15th in 25:27.02, and sophomore Cooper Jacobsen rounded out the Flying Dutchmen contingent in 18th at 25:36.19.
Three more MIAA runners earned their place on the All-Region list. Trine University junior Blake Overmyer claimed 22nd with a time of 25:42.75, while Kalamazoo College sophomore Carson Cook finished 27th in 25:43.28. Adrian College senior Will Houvener also secured All-Region recognition, crossing the line in 25:51.48 to cap his final collegiate regional appearance with a top-35 finish.
The conference’s ten All-Region performers represent the strength and depth of MIAA men’s cross country this season, showcasing a collective championship-caliber presence at the regional level.
