MIAA Women’s Track and Field Standouts Set for NCAA Indoor Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) will send a strong group of competitors to the NCAA Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships, taking place March 14-15 at the Golisano Training Center in Rochester, New York. Hosted by Nazareth University and the Rochester NY Sports Commission, the championships will feature the nation’s top collegiate athletes, with MIAA standouts ready to make their mark.

Sprint Events
Hope College’s Sara Schermerhorn headlines the MIAA qualifiers, earning the top seed in the 400-meter dash with a time of 55.31. She will also compete in the 200-meter dash, where she is tied for the ninth seed with a time of 24.82.

Calvin University’s Sydney Radigan joins Schermerhorn in the 200-meter dash, qualifying as the 16th seed with a time of 25.06.

Distance Events
Trine University’s Bailey Puckett secured a spot in the mile run, ranking 16th with a time of 4:57.36. Sophie Bull of Calvin will take on the nation’s best in the 5000-meter run, entering as the 12th seed with a time of 17:00.79.
