Quartet of MIAA Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes Deemed All-Americans

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Four student-athletes from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) were named All-Americans following their performances at the 2025 NCAA Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships, held in Geneva, Ohio.

Athletes of member institutions who finished in the top eight of their respective individual events and as part of a relay team at the national competition earned First-Team All-America honors. Those who finished ninth through 16th individually and ninth through 12th as part of a relay team were named Second-Team All-America.

First Team All-America
Hope College junior Liam Danitz, sophomore Owen Fremeau of The University of Olivet, and Trine University sophomore Zion Jackson were all announced to the All-America First Team.

Danitz earned a sixth-place finish in the 200m dash after clocking in at 21.33 -- just .01 seconds behind the fifth-place runner.

In the shot put, Fremeau recorded a personal-best mark of 17.43m to claim fifth place.

Jackson had a stellar performance in the 110m hurdles, earning a time of 14.21 to finish third in the event.

Second Team All-America
Albion College senior Eddie Hines received Second Team All-America recognition at the NCAA Championships. Hines threw 17.03m in the shot put for a twelfth-place finish.
