National Champion Sophie Bull Highlights List of MIAA Women's Outdoor Track and Field All-Americans

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Five student-athletes from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) were recognized with a total of six All-America honors following their performances at the 2025 NCAA Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships, held in Geneva, Ohio.

Athletes of member institutions who finished in the top eight of their respective individual events and as part of a relay team at the national competition earned First-Team All-America honors. Those who finished ninth through 16th individually and ninth through 12th as part of a relay team were named Second-Team All-America.

First Team All-America
Calvin University junior Sophie Bull and Hope College junior Sara Schermerhorn were both announced to the All-America First Team.

Bull was deemed the national champion in the 3000m steeplechase after claiming first place with a personal-best time of 10:11.73. Bull blew away her competition, finishing over 27 seconds faster than her prelim time and over eleven seconds quicker than the runner-up in the finals.

Schermerhorn earned a fifth-place finish in the 400m dash after setting a new personal record of 54.36.

Second Team All-America
Schermerhorn also received Second Team All-America recognition at the NCAA Championships, along with Calvin senior Jenna Allman, junior Knight Sydney Radigan, and Trine University junior Bailey Puckett.

Schermerhorn brought home her second All-America award at the meet int he 200m dash. She finished the race in 24.41 for an eleventh-place finish. Radigan also earned Second Team honors in the 200m dash with a sixteenth-place finish (24.71).

Allman claimed sixteenth place in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:00.18.

Puckett just missed out on First Team honors in the 1,500m run after finishing the race in 4:31.31 for ninth place.
