Record-Breaking Performances Headline 2026 Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Awards

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) has announced its 2026 Women’s Outdoor Track and Field All-MIAA award recipients following an exceptional championship meet. Calvin University graduate student Sydney Radigan has been named the Most Valuable Track Athlete, while Hope College freshman Jaidyn Klimp earned Most Valuable Field Athlete honors after delivering standout performances at the 2026 MIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships Presented by Collegiate Credit Union.

Most Valuable Track Athlete: Sydney Radigan, Calvin

Calvin graduate student Sydney Radigan delivered one of the most remarkable performances in conference history, playing a pivotal role in leading the Knights to the 2026 MIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship title. Radigan claimed conference titles in the 100m dash, 200m dash, and 4x100m relay, setting meet records in all three events.

She established a new championship record of 11.63 in the 100m dash, surpassing the previous mark of 11.77, and followed with another record-breaking effort in the 200m dash at 23.68, eclipsing the previous standard of 24.09. Radigan also helped Calvin’s 4x100 relay team post a record-setting time of 47.00, improving upon the previous meet record of 47.18.

Her performances not only secured crucial points for Calvin’s championship run but also positioned her as the national leader in both the 100m and 200m dash, solidifying her place among the nation’s elite sprinters.

Most Valuable Field Athlete: Jaidyn Klimp, Hope

Hope freshman Jaidyn Klimp delivered a dominant all-around performance to earn Most Valuable Field Athlete honors in her debut conference championship appearance. Klimp captured conference titles in both the heptathlon and javelin while also placing third in the high jump, demonstrating exceptional versatility across multiple disciplines.

She totaled 41.5 points for Hope during the championship meet, including 26 points from field events alone. Her heptathlon score outpaced the runner-up by nearly 800 points, underscoring her commanding performance in the multi-event competition. Klimp also reached the finals in the shot put, finishing ninth to further contribute to Hope’s team success.
