NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) once again demonstrated its depth across the track and field landscape as student-athletes from six member institutions earned recognition on the 2026 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Great Lakes All-Region Team.
All-Region distinction was awarded to the top-eight individuals in each event from the year-end Athletic.net descending order lists, along with each member of the region’s top-eight relay teams. The Great Lakes Region is one of 10 regions recognized by the USTFCCCA and mirrors the regional structure used during the cross country season.
Conference student-athletes earned recognition across sprints, distance races, relays, jumps, throws, and multi-event competition, showcasing the breadth of talent throughout the MIAA.
Hope College led the conference with 20 All-Region selections and several of the region’s top performances.
Highlighting the Flying Dutchmen’s honors was Kavin Barifagok, who earned recognition in both the 4x400m relay and as the region’s top performer in the 400m hurdles. Luke Bellino collected All-Region honors in the 4x400m relay and was also part of the region’s top-performing 4x100m relay squad.
