NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Fourteen women’s cross country runners from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) earned All-Region honors from the USTFCCCA following standout performances at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Meet this past weekend. Athletes received All-Region distinction by placing inside the top 35 at one of the ten regional sites, with eligibility limited to competitors from USTFCCCA member institutions.
Trine University led all MIAA programs with five honorees. Senior Bailey Puckett placed fourth in 22:12.23, followed closely by senior Chloe Goodrich in sixth at 22:19.28 and senior Eleanor Young in seventh at 22:23.34. Sophomore Grace Dubsky finished 14th in 22:33.36, while sophomore Courtney Study secured her spot with a 27th-place run of 22:54.30.
Calvin University produced four All-Region selections after an exceptional team performance at its regional meet, headlined by senior Sophie Bull, who won the regional title with a time of 21:40.85. Junior Hailey Erickson added an eighth-place finish in 22:26.14, while freshmen Ayla Holben (18th, 22:40.62) and Brynn Ellenbecker (29th, 22:54.89) also claimed All-Region awards in their postseason debuts.
Hope similarly placed four runners on the All-Region list. Senior Molly Durow recorded a runner-up finish in 22:07.01, one of the fastest times in the field. Freshman Dylan Ballin and junior Grace Baldauff finished back-to-back in 32nd and 33rd with times of 23:01.23 and 23:01.86, while junior Mary England added a top-20 finish, placing 20th in 22:42.24.
Kalamazoo sophomore Nora O’Leary earned All-Region distinction as well, finishing 21st in 22:42.42 to lead the Hornets.
The MIAA’s fifteen All-Region performers highlight the remarkable depth, balance, and competitive strength of the conference, marking one of the strongest collective showings in recent seasons.
