The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced its 2025 Division III Men’s All-Academic Team and Scholar-Athlete honorees, and Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) programs and student-athletes were well-represented among the nation’s top academic performers.
Three MIAA programs – Hope College, Kalamazoo College, and Trine University – earned ITA All-Academic Team honors, awarded to squads with a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or higher for the academic year, with all varsity letter winners factored into the total.
In individual recognition, 26 MIAA men’s tennis student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes. The honor is given to players with at least a 3.50 GPA who appear on their institution’s eligibility list.
Albion College was represented by Brandon Blake on the list of 2025 ITA Scholar-Athletes.
Hope College led the conference with eleven honorees: Austin Becksvoort, Ned Curley, Rylan Doden, Elliot Dozeman, Jonathan Eggleston, Hunter Napieralski, Cooper Nugent, Karsten Patel, Charlies Schmude, Paul Schneider, and Blake Smith.
Kalamazoo College had seven recipients: Adnan Alousi, Derek Blackwell, Sebastian Courtright, Cameron Crosby, Alex Fleming, Alek Hultberg, and Seth Keana.
Trine University rounded out the MIAA selections with seven Scholar-Athletes: Leyton Byler, Drew Hackney, Nicholas Jen, Asher Monson, Caleb Morris, Elijah Schilthuis, and Emmett Wirth.
Nationwide, the ITA recognized 1,115 Division III men’s tennis student-athletes as Scholar-Athletes and 135 programs as All-Academic Teams, showcasing the sport’s strong commitment to success in the classroom as well as on the court.
