MIAA Men Collect USTFCCCA All-Region Honors Following Strong Indoor Season

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Twenty-six individuals and two relays from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) earned 2026 NCAA Division III Men’s Indoor Track & Field All-Region honors, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Wednesday.

All-Region recognition is awarded to the top eight individuals in each event in each region on the year-end Descending Order Lists, along with each member of the region’s top eight relay teams.

Adrian College had three student-athletes earn All-Region distinction. Sophomore Ian Kramp was recognized in the heptathlon, while senior Keith Scott earned honors in the weight throw. Junior Jaymes Vines received All-Region recognition in both the 60m dash and 200m dash.

Albion College was represented by two honorees with senior Cooper Bright earning All-Region honors in the 60m dash and senior James Grey recognized in the triple jump.

Calvin University had several performers tabbed All-Region, led by junior Zach VanBaren, who ranked first in the region in the heptathlon. Freshman Eric Barancik and sophomore Simon Vandenbroek both received All-Region recognition in the high jump, while junior Luke Nguyen was honored in the triple jump. Sophomore Abe VanDuinen also earned All-Region honors after ranking among the region’s top performers in both the 800m run and the mile.

Hope College produced numerous All-Region honorees across several events. Sophomore Logan Begeman, classmate Elias Kretchmar, and freshman Aiden Moore were recognized in the mile, while senior Carston Cole and freshman Elijah Forbord received All-Region honors in the 3000m run. Forbord also earned recognition in the 5000m run. Freshman Luke Bellino earned All-Region honors in the 400m dash, while newcomer Maurice Streeter was recognized in the 60m dash. Junior Dylan Terpstra received All-Region recognition in both the 200m dash and 400m dash, and freshman Lincoln Phillips earned All-Region distinction in the heptathlon.

The Flying Dutchmen also had two relay teams earn All-Region honors. The Distance Medley Relay team of Aiden Moore, Luke Bellino, Erickson Kunzler, and Elias Kretchmar ranked first in the region, while the 4x400m relay team of Kevin Barifagok, Erickson Kunzler, Dylan Terpstra, and Luke Bellino also earned All-Region distinction.

Kalamazoo College sophomore Jack Schneider earned All-Region honors in the 5000m run.

The University of Olivet had two All-Region honorees led by junior Owen Fremeau, who ranked first in the region in the shot put and also earned recognition in the weight throw. Sophomore Comet Alex Brown was honored in the pole vault.

Trine University also placed several student-athletes among the region’s top performers. Senior Braden Estep received All-Region recognition in both the 60m dash and 200m dash. Junior Blake Overmyer earned honors in the 5000m run, while senior Drew Sillaway was recognized in the 3000m run. Junior Max Van Huis received All-Region distinction in both the 3000m run and the 5000m run.
