FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- Dominance has become the standard for Kalamazoo College men’s tennis, and the 2026 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) season proved no different.
The Hornets completed a perfect 7-0 run through MIAA play to secure the regular-season championship, marking their seventh-consecutive title. Kalamazoo enters the postseason with a 13-3 overall record and the No. 1 seed in the MIAA Men’s Tennis Tournament Presented by Collegiate Credit Union.
Kalamazoo’s success was built on depth and consistency across the lineup, as the Hornets delivered match after match of decisive performances. From top to bottom, the roster showcased balance that few teams could match.
At the top of the lineup, sophomore Cameron Crosby set the tone with an unblemished 7-0 record at No. 1 singles, while also contributing a strong 5-1 mark at No. 1 doubles. Junior Alex Fleming followed with a 6-1 record at No. 2 singles and matched Crosby’s 5-1 record in doubles, forming one of the conference’s most reliable tandems.
The Hornets’ strength continued throughout the middle of the lineup. Sophomore Derek Blackwell was perfect at No. 3 singles with a 7-0 record, while classmate Will Seymour added a 6-1 mark at No. 4 singles. Sophomore Sebastian Courtright went undefeated at No. 5 singles (6-0), and classmate Haresh Anand rounded out the lineup with a 5-1 record at No. 6 singles — a testament to Kalamazoo’s depth and consistency across all positions.
With the regular-season title secured, Kalamazoo now shifts its focus to the MIAA postseason. The Hornets receive a first-round bye and will host a semifinal match on Wednesday, April 29, looking to defend their home courts once again.
The tournament begins with first-round matches on Monday, April 27, followed by the April 29 semifinals and the championship on Friday, May 1. The tournament champion will earn the MIAA’s automatic bid to the NCAA Men’s Tennis Tournament, scheduled for May 19-22 at Champions Tennis Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
