FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- Adrian College baseball continued its championship tradition in 2026, securing its second-consecutive Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) regular-season title and the 17th in program history.
The Bulldogs finished conference play with a 16-5 record, earning the top seed in the 2026 MIAA Baseball Tournament Presented by Collegiate Credit Union and once again positioning themselves as the team to beat in the postseason.
Adrian’s title-winning campaign was built on offensive consistency, defensive reliability, and strong pitching performances throughout conference competition.
At the plate, Rolando Jimenez paced the Bulldogs with a .448 batting average, totaling 30 hits while posting a .597 slugging percentage. Jaxon McGuigan added exceptional versatility with a 1.090 OPS, .507 on-base percentage, and a perfect 11-for-11 mark in stolen bases, providing both production and speed.
Gabe Jones contributed durability and defensive excellence, collecting eight doubles while maintaining a flawless fielding percentage, converting all 133 defensive chances without an error.
Nic Bruder was a major force across multiple facets of the game, leading Adrian with 29 runs scored and 16 walks while also tallying 78 assists and participating in seven double plays. Brendan Willadsen matched Jimenez with 30 hits while adding eight doubles, 46 total bases, and an impressive 135 putouts.
Jake Burns supplied power with a team-best five home runs, while Casey Finn drove in 22 runs and contributed seven double plays.
On the mound, Ambrose Horwatch anchored the pitching staff with five conference wins over 35.2 innings pitched, while Parker Faris also earned five victories and recorded 26 strikeouts.
This combination of offensive production, defensive discipline, and reliable pitching allowed Adrian to navigate a competitive conference schedule and successfully defend its regular-season crown.
Now, Adrian shifts its focus to the MIAA Baseball Tournament Presented by Collegiate Credit Union, scheduled for May 6-8.
